They named it Gaalthyr, and many came to live there, far from any forest, mountain, or canyon. The monument to Mythal became a place for the residents and visitors to thank her for her gesture of empathy. The Elves would humble themselves at the base of the statue and offer their own tears back to Mythal, believing that the figure would send them upward into the Fade to replenish those that were shed for them in their moment of greatest need. It did not matter from what source were their sorrows. Those who visited the monument and wept with Mythal claimed to feel her embrace. (see the full story on the Fantasy Faire website)

The Gaalthyr sim is genuinely breathtaking. Be sure to view it in a shared environment setting. I simply loved the rotating centerpiece. It was just "Wow" to rezz in and see it spinning up on my screen. The whole build made me think of the heart and mind working at the center of the world.

Then to follow down the intertwined paths to the scene below with the gigantic humanoid statue and the lighting was phenomenal. The paths down made me think of DNA strands tying the makings of a being together into a soul.

Fantasy Faire 2022  April 21 – May 8

A Benefit for the American Cancer Society

Celebrating its thirteenth year, Fantasy Faire 2022 is the largest gathering of fantasy designers, enthusiasts, role players, and performers in the virtual world. Treat yourself to sixteen days of shopping, live music concerts, auctions, hunts, events, and role-playing as thousands of Second Life residents and creators bring their own visions together to support the American Cancer Society’s vision of a world without cancer. Over 250 of the grid’s top fantasy creators participating in the fair that spans 20 uniquely decorated sims forming a circle of lands. There are many fantastic designs to peruse, beautiful environments to explore, and many activities to attend. You do not want to miss this incredible event.
