It is often said if you want a love potion, the person to go to is a witch, but that is a great misunderstanding as most witches will sell you something more than you bargained for.  The person you really want to speak to is a librarian. As the chroniclers of seldom-known facts, librarians have access to all the well-kept secrets. So, next time you borrow a book, give the librarian the nod; perhaps she could hook you up with a small potion that will make your nights a little less lonely.


Check the list below for all the great items that make up this look:

✫ DRESS: The Bellatrix gown is a beautiful creation by Kitty Creations. The gown comes with a jacket, gown, veil, slippers, as well as a gold shirt and gloves in BOM Layers. The gown is fitted for Belleza, Maitreya, Slink, and Classic Fitmesh. The gown comes with 8 colors controlled via a hud. You can pick up the gown for 699L at the Fantasy Faire until May 8th.


✫ BOOK: Vae Victis created the Miser's Haunted Tome as a past Holiday group gift. It has since been replaced with another amazing book the "Codex Interitus". The group is free to join. The book comes with animations and glows. Simply haunting! Vae Victis is amazing! They are a must-visit for any roleplayer.

✫ CRYSTAL: The Taric [crystal] is created by Torment. It is one of their RFL items for the Fantasy Faire. It is an adorable accessory for use in roleplay or everyday wear.  It is 199L.


✫ MONOCLE: The Bat Wing Monocle is created by ERG. You get a left and right eye version. All versions allow you to customize the gem with 7 colors. If you purchase the fatpack, you can also customize the metals with 3 colors. You can pick up a copy of this fantastic monocle at the Fantasy Faire until May 8th. 

✫ AVATAR:   This striking Avatar is the Panthorian Character Kit created by STAR Mesh Body in collaboration with Mindgardens Creations as a special Star Mesh Body Add-on for the Fantasy Faire. The add-on kit comes with multiple Panthorian skin tones and variations, three custom shapes; it is BOM optimized. The kit includes a custom hed, claws, paws, fangs, skins, eyes, ears, hair, clothes, whiskers, tail, body, and face glow accessories. It integrates perfectly with the STAR Mesh body.  

You can get the Panthorian Character Kit for free during the Fantasy Faire by purchasing a Star Mesh Body. The STAR Mesh body has many advanced features and was created to be as realistic as possible. It's worth every penny and more!  The STAR Mesh body comes with many MOD options to help you get the most realistic customized look perfect for you. It is Bakes on Mesh compatible; has an advanced mesh body shaper in the hud; comes with wiggly, elf, and pixie ear modifiers in six sizes; comes with four body layers for appliers (skin, tattoo, underwear, clothes); ten default skin tones with 5 freckles and custom shapes. The Mesh Head is included with the body. It has twenty face poses and 10 mood animations. It is only 4,500L. You can pick up a copy at the main store or the Fantasy Faire. Demos are available; you should check this body and add-on kit out! 

I was able to wear the Bellatrix gown even though it was fitted for Maitreya only by using the STAR Body Conformer. This handy mod allows me to reshape my STAR Body to fit other mesh body-fitted outfits! This is a game-changer! It is as easy as pressing a button! Now I can enjoy my ultra-realistic body with all my old favorite outfits! You can pick up a copy of the STAR Body Confirmer for 1000L at the main store or the Fantasy Faire. (Note, you may have to fiddle with it a bit. The confirmer does not work perfectly every time. It depends on how close the design you are trying to confirm fits the traditional SL frame)

✫ MAKEUP: My makeup is from the pre-loaded cosmetics provided in STAR MESH BODY HUD.

✫ HAIR:  I picked up the lovely Joya Hairstyle at Doux for 550L (basic pack with deluxe hud). Joya is a fitted mesh hairstyle; the basic package includes 1 hairstyle and the fatpack color HUD. The deluxe hud consists of all stylings (4) available with the hair and color tint abilities. You will need to buy the basic pack for the hair before you buy the deluxe, as the deluxe is only a hud. The hair is in the basic package. Demos are available to try before you buy.

✫ LIGHTING: For lighting, I use LUMIPro. LUMIPro is a HUD worn by the photographer that controls all aspects of lights worn by the model or self. The photographer can adjust position, color, radius, and falloff. You do not need rez right to use LUMIPro. The built-in posing system controls ten models independently without needing to rez for pose stands. You can pick up a copy for 6,6995L on the Marketplace.

A Benefit for the American Cancer Society

Celebrating its thirteenth year, Fantasy Faire 2022 is the largest gathering of fantasy designers, enthusiasts, role players, and performers in the virtual world. Treat yourself to sixteen days of shopping, live music concerts, auctions, hunts, events, and role-playing as thousands of Second Life residents and creators bring their own visions together to support the American Cancer Society’s vision of a world without cancer. Over 250 of the grid’s top fantasy creators participating in the fair that spans 20 uniquely decorated sims forming a circle of lands. There are many fantastic designs to peruse, beautiful environments to explore, and many activities to attend. You do not want to miss this incredible event.
