Creations Park Anniversary Hunt

Tonight I decided to go on a little adventure at Creations for Parkinson's   I heard through the grapevine that they were having a sim wide Anniversary Hunt -- 28 amazing gifts all free.

Creations for Parkinson's is an amazing venture to raise awareness and donations for Team Fox to benefit The Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. 100% of all income goes to The Michael J. Fox Foundation, Team Fox.

Thirty of Second Life's top fashion designers are on this sim and donate 50% of every purchase on this sim to the Michael J Fox Foundation.  

I was really impressed with the design of the sim and the story behind it. The following is an excerpt from a card I got at Creations for Parkinson's, it tells the tale better than I can:

"After 2 years in Second Life, Barbie Alchemi and her brother felt a desire to give meaning and purpose to the hours we spent in-world. "Our dad died with Parkinson's and our mother, Fran Seranade, has it now." To quote Fran, "I may have Parkinson's, but it does not have me." At 85 years young, Fran has entered Second Life and is thrilled to see herself running and dancing again." 

"This sim was created for everyone to enjoy. Those of us in Second Life can have fun while knowing we are making a difference in the real world. Those who are affected by Parkinson's can learn about SL, a world where they can be free of physical limitations."

Creations for Parkinson's sim, Creations Park, has twelve stunning areas for you to explore and play in. Besides the stunning shopping area, there is tons of things to see/do: photo spots, mystical gardens, a tropical beach, boats, horses, mermaids, shopping, and dancing. One trip will not be enough to take it all in, I plan to visit there again to find more secret hidden spots for my photo ops.

The hunt itself was a pretty simple hunt to complete. You teleport into the starting area and take a tour of the sim following the foot prints on the ground. Along the way you find water canister prizes. Everything in the photo, beside me, you get in the hunt.

I had been wanting to find a greenhouse so I was quite pleased to get such a nice quality one for free tonight. Along with the greenhouse you get a stone pathway, a copiable tree, two different large flower planters (I have the tree growing out of one, the other in front of the greenhouse), 12 different flowers in pots, a picnic blanket, tray of fruit and vegetables, a bottle of wine and glasses, a wheel barrow, and a watering can.

The photo above was taken on location at Creation Park. The hunt had two dresses as hunt items, I wore one on location while doing the hunt and below is the second taken at my home at my new greenhouse.

As for the guys, the hunt has a nice black t-shirt and faded jeans. You can see a close up of the picnic blanket, fruit and vegetable tray, wine with glasses, and wheelbarrow in the picture below. The picnic blanket has three animations.

There is always something going on at Creations for Parkinson's so the adventures never end.  Tomorrow they are having a grand opening for their new Fine Art Gallery.

 It takes place between 2-7pm SLT, held in the Gallery Grand Ballroom (Semi Formal Affair), there will be music and dancing. For more information on the artists see the post before this one. Hope to see you there!
